③タイムシフト？◆Time shift?

先日、家族と共に家の近くを車で通っていて、数年前にできた住宅エリアを見ました。数十軒似たような色とデザインだけれども、一軒一軒微妙に違った家々です。その時の会話です。

私       ここ結構最新しいよね。

息子    え、新しい？

私       んー、まあ、2、3年前かな？

息子   ２、３年前？ここはぼくが小学生の時からあるよ。

私      ！？ (何年生かは言いませんでしたが、10年前位でしょうか)

夫にも確認してみましたが、彼は住宅はあまり関心ないので覚えてないとの事 (^_^;) でも、その住宅の方面はあまりとおらない方面。数年前、私が犬を珍しくそちら方面に連れて行き、へ～、ここもやっと建ったんだ～と思って見ていたのです。そしてその犬がうちにやってきたのはまだ3年位前…

時間がどこかでシフトしたか、私も忘れっぽいので、実際は犬が一緒だったのではなく、自分一人がそちら方面を行っていて、本当に10年位経っていたのだけど、自分にとってはそれが数年位にしか感じられなかったか。

The other day, my family and I were riding the car and saw a new residential area built a few years ago. There are about 30 or so houses with the same kind of colours and designs, but each slightly different, The following is our conversation at that time:

Me    They're quite new aren't they?

Son   New?

Me    Well, a couple of years?

Son   A couple of years?  They were here since I was in the Elementary.

Me    ! ?  (He didn't say which year of Elementary, but probably about 10 years ago)

I tried confirming with my husband, but since he was not interested in houses, he said he didn't remember (^_^;) (This face can mean "oh, well..." ) I don't usually go in that direction, but I did, a few years ago to walk our dog, and was looking at those houses thinking "Oh, so they've finished building those houses at last," and our dog joined our family only 3 years ago...

May be time shift has occurred somewhere, or because I tend to forget things, perhaps the dog was not with me afterall, and it was just me then, and 10 years may have acutally passed away but probably felt like just a few years to me....
