31)夢ー近所の犬が訴えかける？◆Dream: a dog in the neighbour appealing?

８月１５日の明け方に見た夢。現実の世界の犬の散歩時に、時々見かけるやはり散歩中の黒っぽい雑種の犬が夢に出て来た。目がまん丸く、ちょっとお年かもしれない。あまり見ないようなめずらしい種類の雑種で、顔に髭が生えているかのような感じの、白っぽい毛も顔に生えている犬。

This was a dream I had early morning on the 15th of August,  A dark-haired mongrel dog having a walk I sometimes see while walking our dog in rreality appeared in my dream. This dog has sweet round eyes and maybe a bit old. The dog is a rare mongrel type and has white hair on its face looking as if it has a beard on.

この犬が夢の中で私を真正面からじーっと見て来た。若い人で言えばガン見。そしてじーっと見ているので、何なんだろう？と私が思い始めた時にふーっと夢はフェードアウトして行くのだが、その間も犬は私から最後まで目を逸らさず、ずーっと見ていた。まるで何かを私に訴えたいかのように。そんな風にして目覚めたから、忘れる訳がない。

This dog looked straight at me all the time in the dream. staring fixedly. Because this dog was giving a hard look,I wondered what it was, and then the dream started to fade out, but even during this fading, the dog never averted its eyes from me and continued looking all the way till it disappeared. It was as if this dog had something it wanted to tell me. Since this was how I awoke, there was no way I could forget about it.

だから、今度その犬に会ったら、思い切って飼い主さんに声をかけて、夢にその犬が出て来て何か訴えていたことを話し、犬にも語りかけて見ようと思った。

So next time I saw this dog, I decided to talk to the owner telling him that his dog appeared in my dream and wanted to tell me something, and try talking to the dog as well.

この犬は散歩時にたま～に見かける位。記憶を探ってみると、一度飼い主さんと散歩中に見かけた時、こんにちわワンちゃん、と恐らく意識で話しかけたのだと思う。その犬はじーっと私を見て私の方に来ようとしたので、言葉で声をかけ、飼い主さんも来てくれて、犬が好きな、そのワンちゃんの胸辺りを撫でてあげた。その犬はじーっと動かずにそのまま同じ姿勢でいて、飼い主さんが行こうと言っても、動きたくないそぶりを見せていたワンちゃん。静かで優しい雰囲気のワンちゃんだった記憶がある。

I only seldom saw this dog during walks. When I tried searhing my memory, once when I saw this dog during its walk, I spoke to the dog saying hello, probably in my mind. This dog looked at me intently and tried to come over to me, so next I spoke to the dog and the owner also came together with the dog and I rubbed the breast part where dogs like being rubbed, This dog stayed still all the time, and didn't want to move away even when the owner tried telling the dog they were leaving. I remember that it was a very quiet and a gentle type of dog.

その一週間程後、近所のある犬がいつもは繋がれて庭にいるのに、もう6ヶ月位見ないから死んじゃったのだろうか、と夫と話していて、ハッとした。もしかしたら、その夢で見た雑種の犬も死んでしまったのでは？夫は飼い主からDVを受けているから訴えたのでは、などと言っていたが、少しピンとこなかった。私はその飼い主さんやその犬の事をあまり知らないから。

A week after that dream, I was talking with my husband about a dog in the neighbour which was usually chained in the garden. Since we hadn't seen this dog for about 6 months, I wondered whether this dog died. To which made me realise that perhaps that dog in the dream, too had died? My husband had been saying that this dog appeared in my dreram to tell me that it was experiencing domestic violence from the owner, but that didn't quite click on me. I wasn't really acquaintanced with the owner and the dog.

でも、もうこの世とお別れだから私に挨拶をしに来た、との事だったら何となく理解できる。でも、ふれあったのはあの一回位。もし挨拶をしに来たというのなら、よっぽどあの時撫でてもらったのが嬉しかったとしかいえない。そう思うとそのワンちゃんが愛おしく感じられた。

However, if the dog visited my dream to say goodbye because it was leaving this world, it kind of made sense, although I only got in contact with this dog just once as I have mentioned above. If the dog came to say goodbye to me, it must have been really  happy at that time when I rubbed the dog's breast and if that is the case, that was so sweet of the dog.

犬の散歩は家族もしているので、毎日私がしているわけではないが、あれから一ヶ月近く経ってもまだあの犬は見ていない。未だに何となく気になる夢…。少し余裕ある時に、あの夢に出て来たワンちゃんに魂を通して尋ねてみようかな。

I don't walk our dog everyday because it's not just me who walks our dog but my family as well, but I haven't seen that dog for now nearly a month, and I still wonder about that dream....  Perhaps I'll try asking this dog when I have the time what it wanted to tell me through my spirit.
