15)木々から聞こえて来たこと◆What I heard from the trees
(English translation below)先日の雨の日、久し振りに私が犬の散歩をする事に。大きな木がたくさんあるちょっとした公園に近づくと、「やって来たよ！」と、意識に感じるような感覚で一瞬「聞こえた」。横に出っ張っていた木があったので、私がやってくるのを遠くから目ざとく見つけて「言った」のだろうかと思われる。 公園の他の木々に伝えて た のだろうか。(でもやって来た、と言われるのは、まずいという意味？それとも嬉しいという意味？少々気になる、笑)
別の公園の角にはもみじの木。今まで気づかなかったのかもしれないが、随分と葉がフサフサになっていた。でももっと驚いたのは、その沢山の葉っぱの重みでだろうか、柳の木のように枝が垂れ下がっていて、私のお腹くらいまでに垂れていた。「いつの間にかこんなに成長したんだね～」ともみじの木を見ながら思っていたら、「雨のためなのよ」と意識に感じた。でも、自分の考えにそれがあった訳ではないので、もしかしたらそれはこのもみじの木から？雨が叩きつける程激しく降っていた訳でもなかったので、雨の重みで垂れ下がる？そんなに雨粒が葉っぱにくっついているようには見えなかったが…
翌日は十分に晴れたので、それを確認するために又もみじの木に会いに行ってみた。どうだったと思います？そう、あんなに柳の木のように垂れ下がっていた枝だったのに、晴れている日のもみじの木は柳どころか、葉はフサフサしていても、枝を普通に伸ばしていた。雨の日は簡単に枝をつかめるくらいに下がっていたのが、一番低い枝でも、私の頭の更に20cm位は上にあった。
小さな驚きと喜びがあった。この間のように垂れ下がってしまうのは、本当に雨のせいだったんだ、本当にもみじさんが私に話しかけてくれていたんだ。
The other day when it was raining, I was the one to walk the dog after a long time. When I was approaching a park with quite a lot of big trees, I "heard" in my mind as if I felt it, the words, "she's coming!" There was a tree protruding on the side of that park, so it could be that tree "saying" that, spotting me from the distance, possibly telling the other trees in the park (but what does the tree mean by "coming"? Is it in a bad sense or feeling happy? Feel a little anxious to know... : ) ).
At another park, there was a Japanese maple tree in the corner. It may be that I didn't realse it before, but it was bushy with more leaves than before, But even more surprising was that possibly from the weight of all the leaves, the branches were drooping down just like a willow tree and came down to about my stomach. Looking at this maple tree, I thought in my mind, "I didn't realise, you've really griown, haven't you!?" and then I felt in my mind, "it's because of the rain." I didn't have that thought in my mind so would that be coming from the maple tree? The rain was not that heavy so would the branches droop like that with the weight of rain on the tree? It didn't look as if there were raindrops staying on the leaves that much...
The following day was quite sunny, so I went to see the maple tree to check that. How do you think it was like? Yes, you've got it, the branches were really drooping down the other rainy day like a willow tree, but on the sunny day, the branches were far from drooping and they were looking just like a normal tree although it was still bushy with leaves. I could easily take hold of the branches on the rainy day, but when it was sunny, even the lowest branch was about 20cm above my head,
